Senior Health & Safety Seminars
More than ten years ago, SCOR began providing Seminars on senior health and safety concerns. Since then we have covered every health, or safety concern, medical problem, or injury seniors might experience, from the tops of our heads to the tips of our toes. The seminars have included cardiology, dermatology, neurology, palliative care, rheumatology, wound care, prescriptions, podiatry, Parkinson’s disease, mental health, assorted scams, how to be safe, how to prepare nutritious meals and other senior challenges.
The Senior Health Seminars are planned for the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Rowlett Community Centre (RCC), with holiday and summer breaks. Each seminar is a presentation on a senior concern, followed by a healthy lunch.
A flyer and poster announcing each seminar are at the RCC, plus other announcements are sent directly to SCOR members.
