Seniors Helping Seniors
With our Seniors Helping Seniors program (SHS), we provide financial assistance to qualified seniors for their utilities, rent, medical care, prescriptions, home repairs and other expenses for everyday living.
An application begins with a call to 469-863-3179 for a screening interview. To be eligible, the senior applicant must be 55 or older, a resident of the City of Rowlett, and must have a household income less than $36,000. Assistance is currently limited to one time per year.
Please note, applicants should be prepared to provide documentation to support their application. This could include identification, income verification, lease/mortgage agreement, as well as the specific bill or request for payment.
